Abandoned mining ruins near Silverton, CO
- Gilman started in 1886 during the Colorado Silver Boom, but Eagle Mine later became the center of lead and zinc mining in Colorado. In the EPA ordered Gilman to be abandoned because of toxic pollutants and contamination of ground water.
